Trek in Sikkim

Day 1 : Pickup  from airport to Darjeeling. (90km 4hours)

Upon your arrival at the nearest airports Bagdogra where our assistant will meet you with transport to Darjeeling - about 3-4 hours. The journey through  Darjeeling tea plantations and tiny villages takes us to Darjeeling. Built on top of a ridge, Darjeeling faces the Himalayas and provides a broad introduction to Nepalese culture in addition to its old colonial feel. Overnight comfortable stay in your hotel in Darjeeling (2130m).

Day 2 : Darjeeling visit

Early morning call for your visit Tiger Hill at sunrise. On the way back visit Yiga Choling Monastery. Return to your hotel for breakfast. Afterwards visit the fascinating Mountaineering Institute, the beautiful Padmaja Zoological Park, the Tibetan Self Help Centre and a Tea garden. Ovenight in hotel.

Day 3 : Darjeeling to yaksom (165km 5hours)

Breakfast at hotel. Afterwards transfer from Darjeeling to Yuksom (1,780m.) through beautiful villages and hills and meet our trekking crew. Overnight in Lodge.

Day  4 : Yuksom 1,780m. -- Tsokha 3050m 16km.

Trek begins here. This trek takes you through dense verdant semi-tropical forest occasionaly crossed by crystal-clear rivulets and cascading waterfalls up to Praig Chu. After lunch a steep climb for an hour brings you to Tsokha - a small Tibetan hamlet from where the first glimpse of the mountains can be seen. O/N at trekkers huts/tents.Sikkim Kanchanzonza-Dzongri-trek Approx. Alt. 3050m & Distance 16kms/6 hours.

Day 5 : Tsokha 3050m - to Dzongri 4000m 13km Excrusion of Dzongri alt.4,000m.O/N at camp

Day 6 : Dzongri -Halt.

Dzongri La Pass alt.4,500m. (Acclimatization) Halt.

Day 7 : Dzongri to Tsokha.
Trek back to Tsokha. O/N at camp.

Day 8 : Tsokha to Yuksam.

Trek: Tshoka to Yuksam -5 to 6 hours Today you descend to the Prek Chu following the route you took up on the first day, and then contour gradually downwards to reach the village of Yuksam our starting point.

Day 9 : Yuksum to Pelling: 24km Drive

morning after breakfast drive to Pemayangtse peeling on the way visit Khechoperi Lake Drive 24 Kms ( 01.30 hrs) to the holy Khechepheri Lake . Khecheopalri Lake, originally known as Kha-Chot-Palri (meaning the heaven of Padmasambhava), is a sacred Lake for both Buddhists and Hindus, which is believed to be a wish fulfilling lake, and a height of about 6000ft , According to Buddhist belief the lake is the emanation of goddess Tara blessed by Guru Rempoche. One should go to the lake and it is believed that whatever wish you pray silently it will get fulfilled. Later continue the journey for another 30 Kms ( 1.30 hrs) to reach Pelling and overnight.

Day 10 : Pelling to Gangtok (120km)

After breakfast Drive to Gangtok the Capital town of Sikkim via Rabongla and the famous tea gardens of Sikkim,Temi Tea Estate. Check in and overnight halt. (120 kms-5 hours).

Day 11 : Gangtok sightseeing tours. -4-5hours

Breakfast at hotel after breakfast visite (Rumtek monastery) The Rumtek monastery is a famous monastery, all over the world, especially among the Tibetan Buddhists, and is situated near Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Originally called the Dharma Chakra Centre, it includes a beautiful shrine temple and a monastery for the monks. The 16th Karmapa built the monastery. The place got an existence in the Buddhist pilgrimage map, especially after Chinese habitation in Tibet and subsequent relocations of some Tibetan religious gurus to Sikkim later visit Old Rumtak monastery. Visite Enchey Monastery was established in 1909 above Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim in the Northeastern Indian state. It belongs to the Nyingma order of Vajrayana Buddhism. The monastery built around the then small hamlet of Gangtok became a religious centre later retrun to hotel overnight.

Day 12 : Gangtok - Bagdogra (by car) - Delhi (by plane)

In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel, and drive towards Bagdogra airport to catch your flight for Delhi onward your destination.
