Bagdogra-Gangtok
Leave for Gangtok about 124 km or approx 4 hrs drive. This is a scenic and winding drive, takes you along the River Teesta which leads to “Gangtok” the capital of Sikkim. While half way you arrive at a place called Rangpo, this is the entry point to Sikkim. You will have to fulfill the entry formalities against your special permit to tour around Sikkim,While we fulfill the formalities you refresh yourself with Tea and Snacks, then continue the drive to Gangtok. Arrive Gangtok by evening check-in to hotel.
Day 1
Bagdogra-Gangtok

Day 2
Gangtok Sight Seeing. (While we process final documentation.)
After breakfast visit to the World famous Rumtek Dharma Chakra Centers Monastery, situated 24kms from Gangtok. This is the headquarter of the present seat of His Holiness, the Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Kagyud Sect. This Monastery is said to be replica of the monastery at Tsurphu, Tibet with its traditional architecture, exquisite paintings, intricate wood work, housing treasures of manuscripts and icons. Rumtek is a splendid example of Tibetan monastic art. ON the way back visit Do-Drul Chorten Stupa: An awe inspiring stupa, encircled by prayer wheels which you may spin while walking around, clockwise only, to offer the prayer “ Om Mane Padme Hum Re”. Nearby, simple housed are two giant statues of the Lord Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava. Tibetology: A unique institution, devoted to Tibet logy the only of its kind in the world where is displayed perhaps the largest collection to Tibetan artifacts outside Tibet.
After lunch visit Govt. Institute of Handicrafts Cottage Industries: this place you can buy local handicrafts such as carpets, woodcarvings or nick-knacks. You may also see the artisans at work.Flower Show at White Hall: Specimens of Sikkim’s famous Orchids and other flora.Overnight at hotel.
Day 3
Gangtok – Lachen (2728m) 123km, 6-7 Hours drive by jeep passing through Tashi View Point, Kabi Lungtsok, Phodong Monastery, Mangan & Chungthang. Overnight at Gurudongmar Lodge at Lachen.
Day 4
Lachen – Talem (3468m) 5-6 hours walk. After breakfast, drive towards Zema (20 mins). The trek starts from Zema to Tallem along the Zemu River towards west. The going in this section is usually slow as the path travels through water logged Rhododendron thickets and fallen tree trunks. Lunch at Tallem and in the afternoon free for excursion in the area. Overnight at Camp.
Day 5
Tallem – Jakthang (3176m) 4-5 hours walk.Trek from Tallem to Jakthang This route is a walk in the paradise passing through at least twenty different kinds of Rhododendron varying in colours from white to the deepest red and in height from trees of 6m to scrubs of not more than a foot. Lunch at Camp.
Day 6
Jakthang – Yabuk (3978m) 4- 5 hours walk.The path to Yabuk climbs through the forest and after about three hours of steady walking you reach the snout of the Zemu glacier. Lunch at Camp. In the afternoon free for excursion in the area.
Day 7
Yabuk – Marco polo Rest Camp (4570m) 5 Hours Walk.The path from Yabuk to Rest Camp follows the Zemu Glacier; the path is mainly over boulders. As the trail opens into the valley the great peaks come into view. The Rest Camp is situated just opposite Mt Siniolchu which is one of the most beautiful peak in Sikkim.
Day 8
Rest Camp – Green Lake (5050m) 4-5 Hours walk.The trail from Rest Camp gently climbs up the valley. On a clear day this is one of the most beautiful walks in the Himalaya. Mt Siniolchu, Simvo, Twin Peaks, Nepal Peak and The Khangchendzonga are some of the giants that dominate the horizon. The Camp at Green Lake Plain.
Day 9
Rest Day for sight seeing at Green Lake.Spend the day lazing in the sun watching the panoramic view of the Great mountains of Sikkim. Climb for about an hour or so to the hill behind the Green Lake one will come to a high point where you will get the grandest view of the Mt Khangchendzonga divide and the distant Mt Chomolhari in Bhutan.
Day 10
Green Lake (5050m) to Yabuk (3978m) It is possible to make the trek from Green Lake to Yabuk in one day as the trail is mostly down hill.
Day 11
Yabuk (3978m) to Tallem (3468m) 4-5 Hours walk
Day 12
Tallem (3468m) to Lachen (2728m) 3-4 hours walk
Day 13
Lachen to Gangtok.
Day 14
After breakfast leave for Gangtok, on the way Phodong Monastery sight seen night halt at Gangtok hotel
